Here are some pictures we took of an avalanche that broke while we were sitting near this hill.
The tracks you see are of one of our riders. No one was caught in this slide, and no one was on the hill when this let go. The rider just come off the hill to the right, and shortly after it let go.
I post this for a reminder. We know this area, we know the avalanche conditions. Yet one of us still tempted fate. This time he got lucky.
Please do not hit the hills. These are not small slides. It is breaking all the way to the ground. The snow looks good if you only dig down 4-5 feet. However, it is going deeper than that, and will kill you, guaranteed!
Be safe. Live to ride another day.
