More Avalanche Pictures

Here are some pictures we took of an avalanche that broke while we were sitting near this hill.
The tracks you see are of one of our riders. No one was caught in this slide, and no one was on the hill when this let go. The rider just come off the hill to the right, and shortly after it let go.

I post this for a reminder. We know this area, we know the avalanche conditions. Yet one of us still tempted fate. This time he got lucky.

Please do not hit the hills. These are not small slides. It is breaking all the way to the ground. The snow looks good if you only dig down 4-5 feet. However, it is going deeper than that, and will kill you, guaranteed!

I have rode this area for years. I have never seen this many slides of this magnitude and larger! I could have posted many pictures of different slides throughout the area......it's nuts up there!

I have rode this area for years. I have never seen this many slides of this magnitude and larger! I could have posted many pictures of different slides throughout the area......it's nuts up there!

I was up there Monday and me and Andrew saw a ton of slides, many hills that I've never seen slide before. Like Jed said these are deep, not to mess around with unless you want to come out in a body bag.

Although I've seen this particular hill Jed has pictures of slide on more then one occasion. I know Jed has too.

Hey I know those guy's.....

It still gives me the chills to look at those pictures. Jed you beat me to posting my own pictures.

It sure was a good reminder of just how unforgiving mother nature is.

Be carefull out there boys. I also have ridden up there for years and have seen more slides on hills that we always hit than any other year.
