hows the riding around Montrose, how far a drive to good powder? job there I may be interested in

how is housing? would need to rent for awhile

I have very cheap rent now and good riding 1/2 hour away

I really hope we get some snow on the east side of the uintas this year

There is first class riding in any direction from Montrose, within 45 min or less. Rent would likely be cheap (for the market), not sure what you pay now. Pretty sweet place really. Close to Grand Mesa, San Juans, Crested Butte, Black Mesa, Arrowhead, Lake City, well, you get the idea.

Corpeleven hit it right on the head, lots of places to ride close. I have a lot of people come up to the Grand Mesa from Montrose all winter long. It's about 45 minutes up from the valley to get to me, easy drive on excellant highways. Contact Slopoke on here as he lives in Montrose and may be able to give you even better ideas. Housing should be cheap and easy to find. From what I have seen Montrose is a nice little town with lots of recreational opportunities.
