Montezuma conditions, anyone?

Thinking about checking out montezuma Sunday... Anyone been up there recently? Wind burnt to hell? Slide activity?

Curious too what conditions are there. Pretty sure I'll be up there with the wife this Sunday too. Not sure where else to try at this point of the riding season.

Is montazuma still open to snowmobiles. Thought they closed it last year.

Disregard my original reply. I got Montezuma mixed up with Churches Park in Fraser.

Went last sunday. Open and pretty friggin sweet...big mtns...definitely have to watch your sh*t out there!

Nice spot for backcountry skiing/boarding.

What area is considered Montezuma?
Is it the area West of the town Montezuma, and to the East of the back bowls of Keystone? and accessible from Georgia Pass over the saddle?

What most refer to a Zuma is Deer creek, the end of the road. Obviously there are 4 different places to ride, on both sides of the road that could be referred to as "riding Montezuma".


Sts John no longer has parking (thanks to all the jackazzes who parked stupidly, and got that killed for us) I'm told the Chihuahua Gulch is no longer legal though I can find nothing about that being the case, and then the last one being Webster I BELIEVE is still legal, but access is an issue there too.
