Monte Snow Conditions

Anyone ride Monte lately? Looks like we might be headed up there tomorrow and want to make sure i'm not doing something stupid. Snotel shows about 14" and still going, BUT thats at 9000 feet.

Wondering what its like at the parking lot and such.

Has been all year.....I'd go elsewhere!

If you are going to go though.........I'd recommend a quick and long trail ride out to curtis creek and far north. Snow has been decent out there.

WOW, just what I needed to know! looks like its Uintas.

Really that is just a picture I nabbed off the net. NOT REALLY MONTE! But the snow has been marginal to poor up there all season at best. Go an extra 30 min in either direction and there is far better riding to be had.

Last week the road was bare pavement for about 2 miles and the gate was closed.
Unless you like grinding of carbides and the smell of crayons (hyfax) I would not waste the gas.

Fishing at Causey was good though.
