Scott you already took care of that....And i sure hope your not comparing knucklehead sledders with skilled backcountry climbers....Not even in the same league imo.

From what I have been able to gather from the climbing sites it would appear a huge ice cornice fell on them.

There is good reason why K2 is considered the baddest mountain on the planet.

11 Guys died. 1 is still up there as far as I'm told... Latest news says the ropes was missplaced. One guy that made it down had a pretty bad story to tell... Guys hanging upside down in ropes, guys trying to save each other, just to die themselves...Pretty harsh....

Hope the last guy makes it down, his feet are pretty frozen, and the chopper can't get to him...

Didn't compare anything did I? I'm not knocking these guys or this situation at all...I was just taking a good old fashioned shot at ole Teto.
