MNF- Kornhieser out. Gruden in.

Chuckie seems have landed himself a gig on the Monday Night Football crew replacing Kornhieser.

Seems the 2nd attempt at dry wit and sarcasm has flopped again on MNF. Didnt they learn their lesson with Dennis Miller?

I liked miller, personally... but Tony Kornholer has only Joe Buck as a peer when it comes to pure unadulterated awfulness...

I really like Kornheiser, he just was not a good fit for the two other guys in the booth. Of the three I actually liked Kornheiser the best. His old ESPN radio show as great and PTI is hilarious. TK needs someone to engage with and MNF never gave him that. Tirrico is BRUTAL to listen to, his show on ESPN radio is only listenable because of Van Pelt (who is fantastic). Jaws is bearable at times, but neither Jaws of Tirrico were personable enough to engage with Tony and that left him the odd man out even though he is by far the most talented. When Miller was on MNF I actually liked him.

Gruden will be great in the booth. I am glad to see they went with someone new and fresh instead of putting another polished ex-QB in there (Aikmen or Dilfer, who are both fantastic). Gruden is brash and with how vanilla Tirico and Jaws are it will be a good mix.

Im with ya hilinerider!!! Those were the good old days...Im just old enough to remember them well!!!

I like Jaws because he played and knows the game fairly well, and offers something decent. Tirrico is OK, I can live with him. I want commentary about how someone is dropping back, or the awesome swim move someone does...Not some prose composed relating the Miami Dolphins to the Revolutionary War....Its football- come on!!!
