MM600 water pump leaking after replacing housing

Had to replace the water pump housing on a MM600 as it pretty much sheared off due to a broken motor mount (the sled has 8000k on it!). Got the new housing (which is now a different part, that looks a lot stronger). I have the thing back together and it appears to be leaking out of what I guess is a weap hole in the housing. The seal between the bearing and the impeller looks good. From looking at the diagram, I am putting it back together right, but could be wrong...

Any tips/tricks? I'm going to go ahead and order the seal, but would like to have the sled running this weekend.

water pump leak

make sure you didnt make the coolant to water mix stronger than 50/50. some water pump seals will seep if the concentration is too thick.

so you are re-using the stock seal that has 8000 kilometers on it??? if thats the case its not surprising its leaking, you need to put a new seal in there. Its been a long time since i did one, but if i remember correctly you need to put some RTV on the outside of the seal where it fits in the housing also to prevent a leak.

these are the same style of teflon seal that we use in pool pumps. i replace them ALL the time....the old one looks just fine with no damage whatsoever....but sure enough they are leaking....put a new one in and leak is gone.
