MM to 153?

Should not be too hard. You will need some 3" pitch drivers and a tunnel extension. I would take a measurement from the Nytro and mount the skid the same distance from the driveshaft in the MM. Mabey consider a Challenger track. The Maverick is known for being too soft unless you only ride bottomless powder.
If the Mtn Max is stock you may want to consider a gear change. 19/40 or 21/42 are popular and work well. If the motor is stock I highly recomend some triple pipes.

Forgot about one thing. I don't think a 2.25 lug will clear the front cooler. You would need the smaller drivers (7 tooth) and will probably have to cut the track down to 2".

My exwife had a 01 mmax. I dropped a tooth on the top gear in the chaincase, put a 151 poo series iv track under it with the stock drivers and stock susp with rail extentions. Then did the transfer rod delete kit (strap kit) from mountian performance and a tunnel ext.. It was a different sled!!! The track was a HUGE improvement over that hard pos that came on the yami's and the suspension after getting rid of the rods acted more like a poo extra lite suspension. You will have to play with the shocks (spring setting) in the rear skid as they are no longer coupled to make it work right. One of the best mods I've ever done to any sled. No driver change needed going with the older 151's either and the 2" tracks fit without any drop and roll.

I ran an attack 20 with the 3 inch pitch 7 tooth drivers on a 2000 MM with stock chaincase location just to see how it worked. I ended up triming the track down to 1 3/4" and it was barely clearing. It worked ok but I ended up putting on a 2" challenger 2.52 pitch and it worked much better. I would suggest selling the 153 and getting a 159x2" 2.52 pitch challenger. Good Luck!

You will prolly have to drill new holes in tunnel. that is what we had to do to get my polaris skid to fit under my mountian max!!:)

would it be possible to relocate the front heat exchanger? and would that make enough clearance? The thing is I can get everything for $300 skid, track, drivers. It would be nice if I could make it work.

You can remove the front cooler, but will most likely have cooling problems. cutting down the track will be the most cost effective.

You will not only have clearance issues with the front heat exchanger but also the bulkhead and tunnel is too tight to get that track on without trimming it. I'll have to look thru my old notes but if I remember right the distance from the drive axle to the tunnel is like 1/4" more than the distance from axle to heat exchanger. If you really want to make it work without trimming that track you really should drop and roll the chaincase or go with a longer case or belt drive.
