MM 700. Parting Out. Ekholm Tunnel, SLP Pipes, 151 Track, V-Force Reeds....

1999 Yamaha Mountain Max with approximately 4000 miles on it. Miles are unknown.

Pictures Pending. Located near Preston, Idaho. I am not interested in selling the entire machine but $$$ and convenience talk!

I had a coolant hose go on me yesterday and overheated the engine before I noticed and could shut it down. It still runs but I worry about unseen damage. Motor should be salvageable but may or may not need some work.

This machine has been great and has many "Goodies" that should help someone out with their rebuild or upgrades. Machine is complete so I currently have everything to sell. Here is a list of some of the upgrades:

- Ekholm Tunnel (yellow with rolled chain case)
- 151 Track
- Anti-Ratchet Drivers
- Recently recovered seat
- SLP Pipes
- V-Force Reeds
- 1997 Overheated Motor, complete
- All the regular stuff - primary clutch, secondary clutch, black hood with a few cracks, plastic skis off a RX-1, skid, shocks, trailing arms, stator, CDI, carbs, gutted airbox, chain case with chain and sprockets......

Let me know what you need and make me an offer. I will be as reasonable as possible on shipping and handling. Or you can just come get it. I live in the Preston, Idaho area. I don't want to go the Ebay route but I will if there isn't much action here.

Parting out Mountain Max 700 - Pictures

Here are some Pictures of the MM I'm am parting out. Its still in the exact spot where I was towed to on Saturday so the picture angles are awful and there is still ice and snow everywhere. When I get it to a heated shop to dismantle, I will upgrade the pictures.

Clarification - The motor is a 1997. The rest of this machine is a 1999.

I dont see the brand name. Looking with a flashlight tonight, I would say the track is in good shape - I would say 7 or 8 out of 10. I did not see any large missing chunks or torn paddles. If I see any damage in the daylight, I will update this post.

Offers?? I am open to any kind of an offer for these parts. I haven't begun dismantling yet because I wanted to make sure there was interest. I may also be willing to drive up to 350 miles to deliver if someone buys $1000 worth of parts that can't be shipped very easily (tunnel, track, skid, motor, etc.) Let's work something out!

Update: The temps have warmed up considerably so I went out and pulled the rope. It started and ran like normal. I did not ride it yet but the motor sounded normal. I will take it for a ride tomorrow or this evening and see how it runs out. With that said, the motor did overheat enough for the Red paint on the head to turn orange.

I still think I will part it out, but the motor is in working condition with the disclaimer that it has been overheated.
