MM 700 help

I am just posting for a buddy, his wife has a 2000 or 2001, not really sure Mountain Max 700. It only has 1200 kms on it but he took it out this year and the temp light flashed on him. We put a new temp sensor in it, checked the T stat, and made sure it was circulating.(coolers at back of sled were warm). This is always in good snow as well. It will flash on him pretty erraticlly, but not sure if there is a pattern, he couldnt tell, and there is no problem with the wiring harness anywhere either. Any thoughts, and could the TPS have something to do with this? Thanks for any help.

gonna be a wire rubbed thru, maybe by the steering or ignition, my did that quite often too, rerouted some of the wiring never happened again

Thanks, I will tell him to double check the wiring harness, thats kinda what I thought too, he isnt very thorough when it comes to stuff like this.

Check the connection and wires up in the front by the pipe. Where they go up to the hood. And the connects up behing the gages on the hood.
