Mission MES or Triton XT ?

Looking for an 8' x12' trailer.

Narrowed down spec and brands to Triton XT-128-2 and comparable Mission MES 101x12 w dual axles.

Will carry 2x 137" sleds and a snowcoach. Pulling w 5.3L 1/2 ton. Want low drag and don't mind low interior height, don't need a massive trailer but want something decent.

Can't decide between them.
Comments, thoughts, brand preference in that class of trailer, those brands?

back in 2006 I was in the market to buy a new trailer , at the time I was pulling a 8'6" wide trailer with my 2500 hd with a duramax . To this day I still have a duramax truck but that isn't the biggest factors for making the choice I made. The trailer being as wide as it was always required having good factory pull out style mirrows if you wanted to see anything behind you. Fuel economy on any trailer that wide is going to be a factor to think about , if you have the room to park a 18' long box I would suggest looking into a 7' wide in-line style trailer.
My 18' trailer is a 3 place drive in drive out with 3 doors (2 ramps and one man door). I was made by Worthington trailers in PA. ,at the time they had the best ideas on all aluminum trailers. there is every little steel in the trailer only the Axel and ball coupler are steel, All the door hardware is aluminum with grease fittings on the hinges and stainless steel bolts. I still own my Worthington and would buy my next trailer from them without question. Do not even consider buying a trailer that has steel screws thru the skin to hold the panels in place , in 3 years my Haulmark had enough corrosion around the screws the skin was pulling off the frame. I am sure that there is other manufactures that build good high quality trailer that will last being towed in a harsh conditions but I have had bad luck with Haulmark and great luck with my Worthington. At 7 years old it still looks great and I have only replaced the tires just to prevent a blow-out that happens due to dry rot.

A few more thoughts: I had mine built with the front ramp on the driverside of the truck so you can pull up to the snowbank tight when road side parking and load and unload without moving the truck and I had 2 gas doors added to the driverside to match the truck fuel door. the standard 6'6" high is fine but you do have to duck down when going threw the doors , if you made the trailer shorter the ramp angle would start to get steep . Mine is not a axel over and rides much lower then the trailer you are looking at so the overall height is lower on mine with the same interior space. LED interior lights in every corner is important if you have to service a sled in the trailer and Roof vents for letting the moisture out are a must ! all that snow melting inside will rust up the exhaust and other metal parts if you don't have vents, mine are open all year with RV style vent shades and a power vent to pull the smoke out when the sleds are warming up. Many of the new EFI sleds will foul the spark plugs if you don't let them warm up to 100* before you move them , I have never had it happen but warm mine up also.

All great points. Originally thought 7' was the way to go. Then found these smaller 8.5' ers and thought I could have the best of both. Decent fuel economy, haul the sleds and coach and not too large a trailer to store.
Now I'm not so sure.

You say 7x18 fits 3 sleds. Is yours 7' or 7.5'?
What size sleds do you haul?

I would have to check but I think the box is about 8" wider then my GMC full size truck and the wheels are outside the box not under. the trailer is 18' +5' v nose..

I think its 7'6 outside of the box and just under 7 wide inside.
