Mirror Lake Highway Gate at Bear River Lodge Closed

They closed the gate at Bear River Lodge going down the Mirror Lake Highway. We have about 15 inches of snow at the gate and it looks like it is here to stay. The gate going east over Elizabeth is still open but the road is snow packed. You can check snow levels on our weather cameras at bearriverlodge.com

How much snow did we get over the weekend?

Just checked several sites on Snotel (Tonys, Monte, Chalk Creek, Hayden Fork, Trial Lake, Daniels) and didn't see anywhere with more than 2-3 inches of new snow. Very disappointing. I got 8" at my house...

New Snow

We got about 4 inches of total new snow over the weekend. Less than what they told us to expect. We cut down trees on the Christmas Meadows road and we were in about 18 inches of snow. Riders indicated that Elizabeth had over two feet of snow.
