Mirage Trailers-excellent experience

Thread Rating

I wish I could have went to the dealer also but they dropped Mirage or Mirage dropped them depends on who you listen to.

The offer of taking it to a Mirage dealer wasn't an offer.

Did Rob call you also to go to bat for him.

Kmo I got your back man I know the owners personally and I have taken my old mirage to a interstate dealer and mirage paid them no questions asked. These trailers just like them all need tlc just like pickups. Like washed and greased and inspected from time to time.

I know you have a Mirage also and no doubt a great supporter but lets be real about the reality.
Sorry to burst your bubble there big guy, but I own a beat up 5yr old 16ft Interstate LoadRunner cargo trailer that I have forced into duty as a make-shift sled trailer.

If I had the money I would love to order a brand new Mirage.
Knowing several of the people that work for Mirage I have little doubt that if I placed an order for a new trailer it would give me MANY years of solid trouble free service.

How would you drag a trailer 14 hours with no axle?

For a FREE repair on a OUT OF WARRANTY item with a value of $5,000+ , I would have hired a trucker and had it hauled down there on a flat bed behind a semi tracker if there was no other option.

Do you really want to do this Christopher. I'm glad you guys have all the answers. Trailer wasn't out of warranty bud at the time, so that really tells me you didn't truly read whats posted but rather jumped to the pump when Rob called you for support.

By all means, feel free to correct me where I am wrong.
But the warranty on your AXLES does not come from MIRAGE TRAILERS.

That warranty comes solely and exclusively from the Axle Manufacturer and is a pass through warranty as a sub-contracted part that Mirage didn't manufacture.

So ya, I guess I am up for this.
I have been watching you slam and bash on Mirage for some time now.
And yes, I did pick up the phone and I CALLED MIRAGE to ask them for their side of the story.

Glad your up for it Christopher, the axles I agree should have come from the manufacturer under their warranty, couldn't get a hold of them they went out of business or are being sued whatever the case is so how do you get a hold of them?

The number Mirage gave us was out of service, no call back from them for three months, I am sure Rob can show you the e mail if he would like to?

Or do you want to continue to be his voice.

Get the real story big fella before you step in on this one.

What, surfaced for all to see?
Christopher, come on, 14 hours, no axles lets just skid her across the boarder.....

In the right hand side of this picture you will see Christopher's "Snowmobile Trailer"

You don't have any pictures of the Snow West Trailer?

I do not have any pictures of Steve's trailer.
And I truly do not know what make it is, I just remember it was not new or fancy.

Don't confuse me with SnoWest Magazine.
I am NOT part of that business.

I run the forums, not the magazine.

it is entirely possible that they have a Mirage trailer.
if they do, I have never seen it, but that doesn't mean they don't have one.

Considering the excellent long term relationship they have had with Mirage it would come as no surprise to me if they do have one though.

I know I wouldn't hesitate to order a new one from them myself.

You are correct in that the company that was producing the axles went out of business and left Mirage hanging in the breeze.

All the more reason I commend Mirage for even offering you warranty coverage on an item they didn't manufacture!

The correct steps were taken but unfortunately we are where we are now, I've posted up the e mail between Mirage and myself and I've also sent Rob the e mails from Richard that he claimed he knew nothing about an issue with a trailer from a Richard and yes since I am the second owner it was time to once again approach Mirage to see what or if they would do anything to compensate for some or a portion of the damage or issues.

I am so glad you spend the time and money on maintenance to keep your toys in great running shape as do I. I know how frustrating it is to have something break down in the mountains when your out to enjoy yourself. My family also loves these trips. Tragically when things go sideways when your trailer axles fail in a mountain pass on almost taking out another vehicle with someone elses family in it...... Not a good feeling.

As for wearing out.... The trailer failed in its first year.

I know your a great supporter of Mirage and I would be too if they would have stepped up to the plate with something other than Bring it down here and we'll look at for you.

So now I am going to rent a transport to haul it 14 hours to Idaho?

Dale, did you say in the quote above that you are the second owner ??

So, that's two points in which Mirage had no responsibility, yet they offered to help (at their expense) if you brought it to them, yet you are still whining?

Wow Dale.........

manufactures do it all the time they put it on a trailer and haul it somplace

Once again, missing the point. If a mfr knows the axles are ****, they have a moral obligation to accomodate the customer. IMO, drop shipping him an axle isn't too much to ask. Then again, I work for a mfr that would never ask the customer to bring the product back to the factory, they authorize it to be taken care of locally.
