We have a Shi'tzu and a mini schnauzer. The American Kennel Assoc. says the Mini-shnauzer is "alert". Ya....it's f&$kin alert all right....never sleeps...runs around all night and all day, up, down, up, down, yip, yap, in the dog door, out the dog door, what's at the front fence? what's at the back fence? wait...run in the house and look out the front window...hey, I can get a better look under the front gate...out the dog door...etc, etc, etc. Meanwhile Norm the Shi'tzu is nicely laying on the couch beside you watching TV and waiting for a cracker to hit the ground....he'll never get it mind you....since the spaz will come running by on the way to one of it's missions and catch anything before it hits the ground. The schnauzer can HEAR cheese....seriously. Oh and she REALLY freaks out on the leash when other dogs come into her line of sight....goes mental...snarling and growling. DON'T DO IT MAN!

My wife grew up with one. Friends have had several. I grew up with German shorthairs and told my wife " how the he!! can I go fishing hunting with one of those" !! We have 2. I love these dogs ! So smart and fun. They dont need to be taken for a run. NO SHEDDING !!! Keep their bowl full all the time and they just eat what and when they want and they look perfect. Super fun loving dogs. I think having two is the greatest. They love each other and keep each other active. I hate dogs that beg constantly. We have NEVER given our dogs anything but dog food and treats from a certain cabinet and begging has never been a issue. They know where to go at dinner.
We keep the schnauzer face and cut their bodies pretty short.
Highly recommend them !
Addendum: my wife read this thread so I am forced to mention that although Molly (the mini-spaz) is a high-energy nut-job, I do like her and get a kick out of her antics. Her and Norm get along great and both being non-shedders is GREAT.
That loud CRACK you all just heard was the marriage whip owning Dave!!!! Do us all a favor and reach down below your belt buckle and rub a little... if you find a pair of balls, feel free to post again, if not... well you get it I think..![]()
Did your wife let you post that?![]()
My ol' Lady doesn't say boo if I sled, camp, quad or drink any day or weekend of the year.....so if I gotta like the pooches to keep her happy....I'm doin' it! "The Boys" are firmly in my control......ya nerve-wrackin' son's o' beeches! LOL.
If by "firmly in control" you mean: in a glass jar on the mantle.... then yes, "Dave's boys" are "firmly in control." hahahaha
Your misery is making this a great day for me buddy!!!![]()
