Ya know, I haven't spent a wholt lotta time in Downtown Denver, but the time I did spend down there in the early part of this century (2000-2003-ish), I don't remember for the life of me there being greenpeace drones on every other corner Carnie'ing up their environmental propaghanda as if they were trying to get you to throw a baseball at some milk bottles to win a cheap prize.

How long have these drones been there, and is it legal for me to destroy them so that they simply do not exist anymore? :o

I swear to god it's all I can do to not get in an argument with these things....and then the next thing I know is I look up on a building and there's the Obama-Commie propaghanda murals on the sides of buildings.....and it's all I can do to not throw up.

I feel like I'm in Los Angeles right now, what the hell has happened here? :o

It's a non-profit called Environment Colorado. Were they wearing a light blue T shirt. Their Boulder office is in my building. These kids have very tough daily quotas to meet, that is why they seem so into it. Ask them how many "stops" or "yes" they got today. At the end of the day they are a Sales organization.

My company is a Sales and Marketing Execution company and a lot of them come knocking on my door as the pressure is too much at Environment Colorado.

Did that group get started with that renewable energy petition?

It seems like about 5 years ago or so I started seeing them down there trying to get signatures for that ballot initiative that called for 10 or 20% of our electricity to come from 'green' sources. That's the first time I remember seeing them or being approached on the 16th st mall.

Nothing wrong with a little environmentalism. Pushing it on peoples faces is another story of course. Just because I like to ride gas powered machines in the mountains doesn't mean I'll leave my trash out there. And just because I use electricity doesn't mean I waste it. Everyone doing a little bit to help equals a whole lot.

Must not have been there for long.....I don't recall them the past few times I've ventured into the concrete jungle.

I do know there are a lot of Teen-punks (lazy sk8ers) roaming the concrete with theit $300 board, $1000 in piercings that sit around all day and ask you for money while mom and dad (lawyers and doctors) sit in thier empty office wonding why their kids aren't "closer" to the family.....these punks probably get more for an allowance then most get paid for honest work...

Ohhhh and don't even get me started on the Abortion/Religous freaks spewing thier lies.....

I go downtown 4 times a year:

-Great American Beer Festival
-Warren Miller Premier
-Usually a X-mas party
-El Chipoltapec for some sweet Jazz

:beer;:beer;

I wonder how long it will be before they write "The Book of Preservation" and start going door to door with it asking you to join their chur*cough* ... err ... cause

The organization does a ton of "campaigning". Last summer i was eating luch outside my office and started talking to one of the kids. I asked him what are you campaigning for this week. He said gay rights. I said interesting. He said "and i really don't believe in gay rights but i need the money badly"

pretty funny stuff.

To be honest they do a really good job in sales training. I'm pretty impressed and I make my living training/managing sales reps.

Yeah I love all these new "Green Jobs" that are gonna be created

The Environmental Gestapo is gonna have "Officers" ya see .... then, all public trash cans will be replaced with federal recycle stations and the "Officer" there standing around the garbage can all day is gonna fine people for putting plastic in the paper box

And they'll have full benefits for doing this job too
