Miles & ratcheting

I noticed a little ratcheting today and I am just at 130 miles. Saw it big time on my 144" RMK at 320 miles so that is what I was expecting. Anyone else notice stretching below 300 miles?
I know what the book says but want some ideas what else works for tightening. Do you hang a weight or just give her two or three turns?
If you do what do you use for a 10 pound weight?
Do you put a small bar across the inside of the track and let it hang from the bar or do you hang it from a track window?

I'll take my comments off the air.

For doing preps we took 2 heavy peices of wire and tied them to a 10 pd. barbell, made a hook at each end and hung it from a window on each side..now days we mostly do it by feel.., and yeah with the single ply tracks not uncommon to tighten several times over the first couple hundred miles....

Helpful posts,
My track needed to be adjusted twice in the first 75 miles to keep it from ratcheting and making all kinds of nasty sounds when braking.
See the Grrrunk Grunk grunk unk unk thread lower in the pro section for more info

I saw that post, glad it was the track and not something in the drive train.
I will tighten mine up tonight after dinner. A I was looking for a 10 pound weight I found a burnt belt from 2 sleds ago. As I threw it away I was thinking to myself, why did I keep stuff like this?

I adjusted mine from the get go to specs. Now I have 170 miles on mine so far and haven't adjusted it yet since. Haven't had any racheting either. I do plan on tightening it back up to spec before my next trip out west next week.

I really wish Polaris would put anti-ratchets on from the factory!! I have an 08 dragon I had to put them on and I know Polaris hasn't changed their drivers since!! New Pro next year tho!!!
