Might switch from 1100t to pro 163

Lots of reading to do here before snowcheck ends, I own a 2012 1100t straight pipe, 2.5 challenger that's about it. Absolutely love the power and mostly the handling but it's still a tank. Will I miss the power if I go 2013 pro 163 put on a head, can, 2.5 ce and reeds?? I would like to try riding the pro for a year but do not want to be a donkey unable to keep up with the 2 turbos in our group and the couple etec's. I weigh 225.

Looking for advise and experience if you've ridden both or with both.

If you cant keep up it wont be the sled. I've been a cat guy my whole life and we own 2 PC8's and one 1100t. I rented a Pro RMK last trip out and thats all it took, good bye cat. I had no problem hanging with turbo'd m8's and a BB 860 etec. Not pull for pull or anything like, that but we rode the same area and went the same places no problem. Our group has all sorts of different HP levels and it seems to work fine.

I've been riding a Pro for two years now. Rode a buddies 1100T this year and I really liked the power. It was a blast climbing and while in deep enough snow to carve with it. But I rode it for an hour and felt like I rode all day. It was very difficult to turn on hard pack (carving). The Pro does have less power, but you might be amazed how it still climbs like a goat. Just don't expect a head (especially reeds) to make big power. It does make it snappier and adds to the mid range (where you usually end up while your R's are falling).

Ever read the Motor Trend article where one car puts out 450hp and the other only 375hp and the 375hp car kicks butt and beats the other? The Pro is the same way...it just puts power to momentum very well.

That's exactly how I feel about my 1100, we just rode for 2 days and by noon I am pooped.

IMO you cant compare them,,, they both have their purpose.

keep the 1100t for the deep pow days.
buy the pro rmk for the other days.
i have the pro rmk and want the 1100t !!!
your original question was will you miss the power,
on certain days,,, yes you will, other days probably not.
if you can afford both, why not!

oh ya, all the new sleds will go to the same places...
if the rider can take them their! some a little easier than others and some a little faster than others.
sucks having all these choices sometimes!!!

Make the change, you won't be disappointed. I have a friend that has the 1100 T and a few of us have Pro's, no comparison for the overall enjoyability of riding. The pro is just more fun to ride!

Depends on your riding style, a buddy of mine got an 1100T and I think its the perfect fit for him. He only rides trees when he has to and doesn't do a lot of technical tree filled riding which is where the Pro shines. He lives for the big mountain hill climb so the 1100T is for him.

Personally I think crushing the flipper and going up a big hill over and over is booring, so I do things that require skill not monster HP and I have tons of fun on my underpowered Pro :)
