Might make a trip to revelstoke

Hey guys, coming from a snowboard background I've always had success finding a place to stay thru forums. A friend and I were talkin about planning a trip to revelstoke and I was wondering if anyone had a place we could stay? As of right now we're thinkin one night after driving, then two days of shredding, then we'll pack up and leave the fourth day. We are more then happy to have people ride with us too and show us around the area. Also was curious if there is some kind of temporary permit for the area that is necessary? Are plans aren't concrete yet and there is a possibility of more people coming and maybe more days of riding, possibly even a ski hill day or just some back country skiing/ snowboarding. This is my first out-of-my-area trip with a sled and being from the states I wanna get everything right the first try. Also if at the time you need anything from the state side we should be able to pick somethin up for you. Thanks!

Get a ROOM!

Seriously! Dude, if your budget is that tight, save up for next year! Your only talking three nights. You could share a room with your buddy in town for around 50 bucks a night pp. If a hundred and fifty dollars is off the grid, I would suggest you save up for a trip down the road. That's alot of nerve to inconvenience someone you don't even know. I have been going up there from Montana for five years now and have met alot of super nice people over the years, but I would never ask them if they could put me up for two or three days unless they offered! Go up there and have a good time, but to go around asking someone to board you... That's cheap and cheesy!

If no one wants to offer us their home that's fine with me because I understand that people have families, jobs, and other commitments. But through forums i have been able to offer my hospitality to many skiers and snowboarders that come through my area. To me this is also a great way to meet people, have people show u the local area and all the sweet spots, and I now have riding partners throughout most of the west because of the tight knit Internet community. Yes it's cheap but cheesy, I don't agree. If there's someone on this site willing to do that then I will take the opportunity, I know I would do the same.
