Michigan

Nice! I have lucked out the last two times going to Houghton, had big storms while there this year. Yes it can get really tight in spots & need have good bushwacking skills for sure.

I am a push over for the mountains.

You are correct, it's not the mountains. But for us it's close and you don't lose the HP that we do out west. And I can breath. :face-icon-small-coo

What do you have for weight in the clutch? It doesn't sound like it's pulling full RPM.

Hey Blakes that looks like a good time. Could you fill me in on where to head if I were to go to Houghton. I've only been to the Ironwood area and it sucked! Would like to find some decent boondocking in MI.

Killer riding in some awesome terrain! Really wish videos like this got more traction across mountain riders. I've been out west a handful of times and nothing beats tight technical yooper riding!

Since we're on the topic of Michigan, here's a few clips I threw together, audio is fudged since I had a song that lowered the audio off and on, and ended up having copyright issues so I just removed the song altogether.

Good videos guys. Keep it down about the U.P. backcountry riding. We don't need all of the secret spots tracked up.

Oh, I hear ya. There's more than enough billy's running around the woods up there these days. But 9/10 of them won't touch the upper deck, so what do I care :) Plus video's don't give away riding spots. Just gotta keep the area you ride on the DL, I never give away where I go anymore. Just keeps ruining it for everybody. Simply call it "the up" "michigan" "the yoop" and when someone asks where at, reply "north of US2" :)

Looks like fun. We should talk. Since I'm from Wisco I'll hook you up on a super cheap West trip and show you some tree riding that might compare;) if you show me around the UP for a weekend or so. Next year though cause I'm out of time off and sled parts. haha

And the UP is out of good backcountry snow unfortunately for this year :( Will take a major dump to return to good shape, there is tons of depth left but it is very concrete like. Hit me up some time, always looking to ride with new people!

Thanks for the great videos, reminds me of the good old days before Wyoming and Colorado spoiled me and I have to drive 3000 miles round trip to ride. Since I don't make it UP there much anymore, I will give up a great off trail area, Big Bay to L'Anse, no BS.

Your welcome

Very true!

No major dumps in the forecast. This coming week the temps are going to push 50 degrees with possible rains. A group of 10 of us are headed up to my camp for one last real ride. Not going to be powder but I'm sure we will have fun in the trees.
