Methow Valley Question

Hey Guys. I'm heading up to Winthrop next weekend for a few days with the wife. I've never been to the area and wondering what the best snopark would be for us to ride out of. Does anyone know what the conditions are like in the area right now? Wife is a semi-beginner and we are just looking to do some trail riding and site seeing on this trip. Any tips or advice is appreciated!

I would take her up to Sweetgrass Butte..... Access either from 8 Mile or Cub Creek side. Generally nicely groomed trails, good scenery along the way, and great views up top by the radio tower. Not sure how the conditions/trails are right now. Hope that helps.

Yellowjacket has a nearby warming cabin right off the trail that is usually stocked with wood and has a nice stove. Bring some lunch and have a cozy fire while you take a break.

I agree with the one person about 8 Mile. This was my first year up there with my wife and family having 4 sleds and a large trailer and the roads are easy to get to the snow park and the trails are absolutely wonderful to ride. They by far were in the best groomed condition compared to so many on the West side of the mountains. You will be glad you went!
