Methow area snow report

Hey guys, has anyone been up Harts or Washington Pass lately?? How is the snow and is it stable??

big avy in brown bear two weeks ago. Nobody was hurt.

I was there when the avy happened, It was just south of the spot you are familiar with, still pretty unstable and no new snow to speak of

That slide was one bowl south of the one I was in then?? So whats the deal, have all these recent dumps pounding stampede, stevens, ect just been missing harts and washington?? Or can you ride over to rainy and have good snow??

Yea the big bowl in the back, the one that has the step up, the entire left side slid, caught one but he was able to swim out. I don't know about rainy, I have not been up the pass, but I know that hearts has about 3in of new and that is it. The problem is the wind has been blowing and creating serious wind loading and creating an incredibly weak snowpack in places. I will talk to some buddies that went up the pass and let you know what they found

Ok will do. Looks like im gunna be out of priest river this weekend, ill be over that direction next weekend and sure would like to make a run up the highway if it hasnt been opened up yet.

You know I dont even have a clue!! I just go with a couple locals up there. Now Im not sure if I can go, my doo took a **** so its a parts race and dealing with warranty bs.
