Mesh Moods for M7

Mesh hood= no belt heat, lighter weight, more durable. I love mine and would never go back at this point. The only downside on a stock M is if you want to maintain the factory intake. There are many ways to work around that though. Here is a pic of my homemade mesh hood.

There was a thread a couple of weeks ago about mesh hoods and the issue of the pipe melting the mesh, mainly when rolling the sled over. Do a search and you will find it.

I am also running a homemade mesh with original air intake headlights guages ect

We installed a Skinz hood on one of our M sleds this winter. The sled has been rolled multiple times, a few close encounters with trees and a run in with the back of another sled with a hitch adaptor on it. So far the only damage to the hood has been due to the encounter with the hitch. It tore a large hole in it. Some needle and thread quickly closed the hole. The replacement skin is actually not that expense either, but so far the repairs are holding up so well that we are not sure if we will put the new skin right away. We have not experienced any problems with burning holes in the skin due to roll overs nor have we had any issues with powder under the hood on the few deep powder days we have had. The removeable side panels on the Skinz hood are another really nice feature as well, for the warmer days.

I run a Diamond S on my M8. It been working great so far. I also run their intake on the hood and use the stock airbox and have had great results with that as well.

Here a picture of our M sled with the hood mounted when it was new, we'll have to take some pictures this weekend when we are out riding of the current look. Lights are by Cyclops for anyone interested.
