Me crashing at Baker yesterday.....

I was climbing the hill up to the glacial Ice at Baker yesterday.

Saw a little lip, looked like wind blown powder, was just gunna bust through it, catch maybe a little air and turn back downhill. We do this all the time people. :face-icon-small-con

But THIS time that tiny little soft little baby drift was part of the glacier ice. FUG that thing sent me flying. Was NOT ready for that. :nono:

I flew 40-50 ft. Lawn darted. Grabed the track so my sled syaed up there with me. Got up, and couldnt believe me AND my sled didnt have a scratch or dent. That sucker pancaked my suspention. I've never been that high on a sled before.

My blunder is your entertainment...........

Couple pics of the day. It was a great day at Baker. Found a few fun spots to play that wasn't all tracked out.

Uh huh sure
You mean you havent gotten that much air before...:clap2:

Oh my hell! I haven't laughed that hard for a long time!!! Your video edits are crazy hysterical! After a long day, and knowing you were ok, made me laugh!!

What's even more crazy is I did almost the exact same thing on our way out Saturday night! I have never flown that far on a sled "unintended"!

Result...... Tunnel Taco!

Glad your ok, thanks for sharing

Only thing better would have been an Umpire with arms crossing and yelling "safe" as you hit the deck. Great clip. Glad you're OK. EW

Wow! That will scare the crap out of you!....Looks like you are up in the "Uglies"....Don't know how well you know Baker but that is right where you will fall into a 100+ft cravas without even seeing it..Ride up there at your own risk.

Well, been riding there many times every winter for 6 years so I know the area fairly well. But I'm always up for more info regarding the terrain. I always thought the cravasses started at the spot where you can see glacial ice breaking off. Then up from there. Didn't know the glacial ice went lower than that. I've seen a few Arial photos and tried to find where the ice starts so I can stay away from cravass danger. Please enlighten me! I always appreciate advice from an experienced baker rider.

Thanks!
