MCX Nytro, can I run it well at 1700' Elevation with Temp. fluctuations in the neighborhood of 25 degree C. Can anybody give me settings when it comes to Boost , clutching(springs, weights, helix, gearing) , I take about four trips to the mountains a year so there will be some changing to be done. Does MCX have these charts available? Who would I contact to find this info.??? So far I have not had much luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

MCX test ground is at sea level to 1000', 12lbs of boost on pump gas w/ the head shim so im sure it can be done. MCX also makes the clutch weights etc for that elevation. Give them a ring next week.

Thanks Darko, What is that "Polaris" beside your handle. Are you converted? Should I contact Prince George or contact MCX directly??
Cheers

Agree with Darko that is were they test I had to reflash my MCX box to get it to clean up at our altitude up high.

I own a mcx turbo phazer. I run at 2000' 75% of the time and mountain riding (5000-7000) the rest of the time. MCX is the perfect setup for this becouse of the altitude compensating boost. At 1000' it will run like the manual says 12 psi. As you go up in elevation the barrametric pressure sensor reads atmospheric pressure and adjusts the turbo waste gate giving more boost. Therefore as you go up in elevation your hp doesn't change. I believe mine runs at about 15 psi at 6000'. This is the perfect set up for different riding elevations, just gas and go. Clutch your sled where you ride and it should be good up to about 9000'.
Hope this helps.
