Anyone experience a boost leak between cooler and motor??? The reason I ask is when running higher levels of boost I can see the compressed air comming out the left side panel vents. Gona start taking it apart but was just curious if anyone else incountered this problem.

yes thats correct, its been happening for a while and gradually getting worse, to the point where there is a power loss. I have checked all header joints and there good as I intinatally suspected them or the charge tube.
Bascally do a good pull @ 15-18 lbs, and look down and the left vent has a blueish colour "like smoke" comming from all vents, left side.(there is no smell) Once off the throttle it takes a few seconds and the "smoke" goes away.

Anthow taking sled apart and will will check boots, charge tube and pressure test.

Wow, I can barely get a glance at my boost gauge at 16lbs and you're down there seeing air from your charge tube
I'm gettin old
You can find a spot where all the intake valves are closed and put air pressure to the turbo end of the charge tube and find a leak if you have one

check where the charge tube goes through the tunnel, sometimes they rub there and cut through. I think if you had a air leak big enough to hear and see you would lose quite a bit of boost pressure.

Sounds like an exhaust leak to me. Pull the tank and heat shield off, and check the bellows.

Shore it not blow by coming from the crank case vent!

Hey thistle haven't switched that spring, will give you a shout next week.

pressure tested the intercooler to the motor. # 1 cyclinder hose clap from cooler was a little loose, other than that no real leaks. Still trouble shooting.

My next questions:
What is the center to center measurement primary shaft to jackshaft?
Has anyone ever lost a motor mount in the Nitro?

I'm wondering if the motor is rocking to much under load!!!!

I don't know the spec for c to c, we've put a tool on a few to check they were all close. Did you check the sheaves way down in the bottom to see if you're putting a groove in one or both of them?

Been there done that! Ya its not doing that.
Need C to C as I have no tension adjustment left on secondary and from looking @ motor mounting theres really no way the motor will come out of speck.
