mcx/atomospheric pressure sensor

[boost mod]

the post below talks about a hose coming off the atmospheric pressure sensor to the intercooler.my sled does not have this hose i have ran it for 2 years this way. what will it do if i hook it up and does it go to the intercooler or vacuum lines? <HR style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #e8e8e8; COLOR: #e8e8e8" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->This sensor is hard to find if you are not sure what you are looking for. I have attached a picture that shows the sensor. In this picture, my voltage regulator and mcx ecu have been relocated to the inside of the delta frame. The mcx box has a hose running to it (this is the boost line for the map sensor), just to the left of where the hose attaches to the mcx box you can see the atmospheric pressure sensor. The sensor is black and has the blue and white label on it, you can see it mounts to the bronze colored mount below the mcx box. The atmospheric sensor has a tapered plastic fitting on the bottom of it approx. 1" long. This is where the boost line from your intercooler should attach. Hope this helps.

My first nytro had that box and sensor....from what I remember the sensor just hangs out and no hoses go to it.

There is usually nothing hooked up to it. With the Boost-it kit neil recommended running a hose to the end of that sensor from the turbo so it senses boost. Must be the same thing MCX is doing.
