Ok I was changing out the battery on my Mcx apex and noticed a hose dangling as your on the sled on the right side of the intercooler there is what looks like a regulator built into the intercooler, the hose on the top of this isnt going to anything is it supposed to be or is it a vent???? I would take a picture but its -15F and snowing hard

The regulator as you are calling it is a blow off valve, there should be two hoses running to it. One is a vacuum source to operate the blow off valve itself and the other one is a boost line that runs to the atmospheric pressure sensor which is located to the left of your battery. The line that goes to one of three fasteners of the blow off valve is your boost line to the atmospheric pressure sensor. The fastener looks like a grease zerk, but is actually an orficed fitting. If you are experiencing a rough idle then more than likely the vacuum hose is the one that has fallen off. If the boost line has fallen off of the atmospheric pressure sensor then the engine will run lean during part throttle operation. If you have an a/f guage you will see it run anywhere from 14.0 to 17.0. The line has a tendency to fall off at the atmospheric pressure sensor end as the sensor has a tapered end to it. Zip ties on all these lines are a good idea.

THANK YOU very much it is running a little lean and idling fast I will try to find that pressure sensor in the morning before I go out again the hose that is off does go down to the front of the belly pan thanks alot I am in Cooke city with limited internet and no phone

This sensor is hard to find if you are not sure what you are looking for. I have attached a picture that shows the sensor. In this picture, my voltage regulator and mcx ecu have been relocated to the inside of the delta frame. The mcx box has a hose running to it (this is the boost line for the map sensor), just to the left of where the hose attaches to the mcx box you can see the atmospheric pressure sensor. The sensor is black and has the blue and white label on it, you can see it mounts to the bronze colored mount below the mcx box. The atmospheric sensor has a tapered plastic fitting on the bottom of it approx. 1" long. This is where the boost line from your intercooler should attach. Hope this helps.
