MCX 19T Upgrade Info - Price

I thought some might like to know, the upgrade to a 19T turbo (290 HP on pump) for the Apex is as follows:

2000.00 CDN for the turbo
390.00 for the fuel pump
100.00 for the reflash.

2490.00 CDN Total

you can get a turbo for $900 us and fuel pump for around $100 us.

www.vivaperformance.com for the turbo, and any summit or jegs catalog will give you a pump for arounf $100 I put one on my mcx kit last year with a seperate regulator to run the mcx injectors that way I had no limit on boost other than the turbo, worked great. ran up to 22lbs with a 30hp shot of nitrous no problems.

MSD Fuel pump at Mopac is just over $100. I'm sure it'll pump more than enough fuel.

So does MCX just buy a 19T off the shelf and grind the numbers off it ? If a guy buys a 19T from that shop will it bolt right up ?

What grinding? I never seen any numbers grind off!
Regardless, you problably can make an regular fit, i never seen an unmodified, but i believe they alter the housing to fit their application, but with the right tools ....

the guys at walt healy in calgary orderd a bunch of kits with the 19T in them already. seemed like a good price compaired to a normal MCX kit plus the 19T latter on

My 5c is that it isn't worth the money to upgrade the charger if you have an 16T, instead go for the pump upgrade and ECU reflash, the kit called MCX310, 290hp is no problem then. If you but an Apex kit this year they all have the 19T, it's not an "upgrade" alternative, It's only MCX thats been kindly enough to include a charger with a little more capacity if you want's to run with some higher octane fuel, 19T bottoms out ~30-40hp higher then the 16T does.
