McCall Zones Fresh powder!

It was going off up there today...cold and snowing hard. Put about 4-5 inches down from 12 to 5...hitting many pockets that are hidden from the wind and finding 16" plus. Pretty light powder....you can pack it in your hand so a tad on the heavy side. Great boondocking...you get up on it nicely. Also, visibility was great...this storm's clouds were hanging pretty high. Tomorrow will be even better. Coverage is very good now...we boondocked from the East side of Goose over to Brundage reservoir and it's covered pretty decently now. Spring will be good...these are some good layers getting put down.

We had a blizzard over night, and it's still snowing. Powder is here all your favorite ZONEs will be loaded with snow. We have more snow now then the middle of the season. It's Siiiiiick!

Load your snowcat, and head to McCall. Winter is hitting us hard.

Went riding last Sunday, the 5th.

Went out last Sunday north of McCall and the snow was at first crusty on top but softened up as we climbed higher. When we got up to 8000, it was really great and somewhat soft. One bowl that we go to is normally pretty easy but this time was not so. The enclosed video shows one of us almost climbing all the way out but this was his second try and then, and then, we had to work for almost two hours to get that machine to the top, only 15 feet. Should have turned around and made another run. Tired but a great day and the trails were in great shape too. Thanks groomers for a great year.

Spud.
