The road from McCall to Yellowpine is the Lick Creek Road going east out of McCall. To my knowledge it is not groomed and if you were to take it you would run into the maintained portion of the road that comes in from Warm Lake along the South Fork of the Payette River. Not a good combination.
You can, however, drive to Warm Lake, to where the County stops plowing the road past Warm Lake Lodge, and ride up to Landmark and then over to Yellowpine on the road down Johnson Creek. From where they stop plowing they start grooming and it is usually in pretty good shape.
In Yellowpine, there is a cafe, a bar, and a general store(mainly open at noon for the mail). You can purchase fuel at the store in 5 gallon cans.
From Yellowpine you can ride into Stibnite and play on the airstrip and tailing piles. You can also head up toward Big Creek. Check with the locals first before going to Big Creek. It avys on the road I've heard.
The last 5-7 miles from Landmark to Yellowpine is probably plowed for the homeowners in that area so hopefully the road has a snowfloor. There are some cabins that can be rented on a nightly basis. Probably call the cafe for the details.
Hope this helps.
