My brother wants to go try to ride in Mccall early February. We live in Utah and I would like to know if the snow is good enough to justify the 7 hour drive and lodging expense. I know it all depends on the storms but will I find deep powder there? Where is the best place to ride to increase my chances of finding good snow?

you won't regret going to McCall. I went there last year and am planning on going there again this year!

Was there last weekend for the Ice Festival. Rained Friday & Saturday. Snowed Sunday-Tuesday. They got about a foot down low. Up high was great. Rented a couple of sleds for the day from CM Backcountry Rentals in McCall. Brand new 600 & 800 Pros. Great sleds and Service from the Owner (Cody) The rentals included Brand New HMK Gear and 509 Helmets.
Stop by and check them out if you are needing a rental. Would rent from them again!.

How are the snow conditions in the area? Wife and I are planing a trip in mid March pending on how much snow there will be at that time of the season. Is there good snow around that time of the year? any info will help Thx

We always have snow here in March. I can't predict whether or not there will be fresh, deep powder, but we will have plenty of snow to sled on in March and April. The road to Burgdorf Hot Springs, Secesh and Warren generally isn't plowed open until just before Memorial Day Weekend at the end of May.

Hey, was that you that we met, digging one of you out of a creek? Then you helped dig me out up higher later? We were on a couple of orange XM's, a grey Pro, a black XM, and a 600 RMK?
Rode with the Ski Doo Demo folks from Bear Creek Lodge up to the Fish Creek, Hazard Lakes area. Snow is firm and the trail was groomed.
