went for ride on Tuesday and was worried about the conditions until we hit 6000ft then the snow was incredible over a foot of fresh. we got a bit higher and found untracked that was at least 2' deep. SO GOOD! one of the best rides of the season.

snowing on thursday

going out for ride today and its been snowing hard all night. will report how conditions are when I get back.

I always look on Brundage mtn ski resort to see how much snow the recent storms dump, it's often way less than what I hear reports of from Hazard vicinity. I think tues morn the ski resort only showed 3" of new? Thanks for your reports, I plan to stay at your B & B everytime I'm down.

What we typically find out there is often at least twice what Brundage reports, sometimes 3x. I'm looking forward to riding tomorrow for sure! The storm is clearing out so it will be nothing but blue skies and fresh pow the next two days!

great ride going again today

yesterday was awesome. About a foot fresh right behind brundage no other tracks around on and off blue sky. Cory and I had a great day.

Just got back this morning from McCall! Epic riding conditions up there on Friday. Best of the year so far when you factor in the weather and the snow conditions. The news is out too...hundreds of sled laden trailers heading north from the valley this morning! FINALLY

chute?

Does anyone know who pulled that badass chute(not sure what its called)just pass Goose lake off the trail on the left and on a little lake? There was only one track up it and no ski marks(Turbo I'm sure). If any one has video or pics I would love to see them. Thanks Blaze P.S. The tracks look pretty fresh as of 2-22-09

I'm pretty sure it was JohnO from on the forums... he was riding a turbo Apex and tore his track at the top on a rock. We did a track swap on Friday night and rode yesterday around Box. I don't think there were any pic's of it though.

Was it this chute?

The picture of the shoot is not the one... or I don't think it was the one... that John pulled. Who ever pulled it... that was a good line.

Box is getting pretty marginal. There was good snow to be found but it's starting to look like mid April and not the first of March. With the new snow it covered a lot of hazards that are waiting for you. Watch for avy's... a group of ours set off one in a small shoot that got everyone's attention.

We also went to a couple fun lakes and there is seriously half the snow there should be.

Jeremy Kinzer was the one that pulled that shoot the weekend before this one. It was a nice pull and ya it was a turbo (TD8). I have a video of it from my camera, bad quality but I will try to post it.

yeah that was me that pulled that one on the 21st, first times i've seen pics of it tho. it will be in the new 208 film detonation though be sure to check it out
