Heading to McCall for the first time after Christmas. Any suggestions on good places to eat? Thanks

D Moore's traeger is tough to beat but for the rest of you. :face-icon-small-win

Here are a few regulars for evening food

I sure like Lardo's for your basic everyday kinds of foods. Great management who are sled, well check that JUST people friendly so that helps as well. It's all about the good time and attitude of the staff and local customer base is everything. good food great atmosphere fun place to be

Shore Lodge
good food but they are super proud of it...snotty help (only been there three times and they were 0-3) Maybe they've gotten better? I'll never know!

Steamers
good food all around good experience had many good meals there in the past

The Mill
good food good staff fun place old school McCall thinking red meat this is a pretty steady choice been there fifty plus over the many years and it's normally a good experience

McCall City Golf Course surprisingly good food with semi upscale menu...haven't been since summer so don't know for sure if they are still running a winter eatery. atmosphere is a bit wanting but the food used to be pretty darn good (we go there all of the time because it's a stumble home from there)

That should get you started.

Both Mexican places are pretty good and they serve beer and wine, if you like. Across from one of the Mexican places is Toll Station which has good pizza and pasta, along with beer and wine. The Blue Moose is on the far west side of town but I am not sure of their winter hours. Home Town Pizza is basically a take-and-bake place but they will bake it for you and they make some great sandwiches. McCall Brewery has sandwiches and is right next to May Hardware and has some easy parking in the evening. Don't forget the Pancake House. Not only breakfast but it seems that some evenings they are open for dinner. I don't know if they serve beer and wine, though. There is Chinese food at the Red Pavilion on main street right across the street from Maxi Java. Enjoy!!!

Here are my thoughts after living here for a year:
Mexican place across from Toll Station is some of the best Mexican food I have had anywhere, my bro who lives in San Fransisco area agrees.
Went to The Mill twice, won't go back. Food was bad, service was bad, prices were ridiculous.
Steamers is the shizzle for good high end food! THe owner is a snogo guy too, and is usually playing riding videos in the bar area.
Subway here is pretty bad, sandwiches aren't very good and they were rude to my wife the last time we went.
Toll Station used to be our fav, we won't go back. Last time they served us moldy cheese, waitress was apalled and wonderful about it, after the plates were gone the owner tried to tell me I didn't know the difference between mold and parsley. The mold wasn't a huge deal, the jackass owner trying to tell me it didn't happen after the proof was gone was BS.
Hometown is good, you can get huge slices for lunch.
Taco Tuesday is a weekly thing for us, $1 tacos all day long at Si Bueno across from Hometown.
Paradise Burger has a good lunch special, and the burgers are good.
Woody's has a lunch special, the burgers are bad. They also cannot get an order right to save their lives, they also used to be a regular for us where we will not go back.
Lardos is good, and they are usually open the latest, we just ordered takeout from there last night actually because they serve until 10.
Finding a place to eat late here is impossible. Kind of strange, but nobody is open late.

We always liked Lardos, quick service good food and good bar area. Also the pizza at I believe Krusty's was the name was also great food. Small restaurant but have some good micro brews on tap. We also thought the mexican food by the airport was pretty good.

Food in McCall

Pueblo Lindo is on the north end of town it's new the food is AWESOME! It's on Hwy 55 heading north in the brundage Inn.

Christmas house/Pancake House serves the best breakfast in town with a portion size for even the biggest hunger.

Heartland Deli under hotel McCall backside of Realty office has subs sandwiches that will blow your mind.

Bearcreek Lodge has a great food, and is close to the mountain.

Hometown pizza is a popular place for our saturday lunch not only pizza, but great sandwich combo's as well. Super nice people.

For the fancy crowds "Steamers and Shore lodge" are owned by sledders so we love to support them.

Just a few for now feel free to stop in the shop 3 miles south of mccall on hwy 55 we love to help people get to know the town! 208-634-7007

We just had Paradise for lunch Friday. $10.60 for two cheeseburger combos. :)

Pancake/Xmas IS amazing. Takes a long time to do it, as they are always so busy, but the portions are silly-big and the prices are crazy cheap for what you get!

And Hinson's is correct, the Hometown folks ARE super nice people!

YOu have a domain problem there. :) Didn't know you had a restaurant, is it medium/high end? Parents got my wife and I a hundred dollar bill and a babysitter for a date night, maybe we will come see you.

Prices and food?

The prices at Bear Creek Lodge are medium range and the food is very good. The Sunday Brunch is very reasonable, the omelets are very good.

Great, gonna have to check it out!
Went to the Mexican place by the lake last night, my GAWD the carne asada is good. Crazy that meat can taste like candy, lol.
