McCall- No sledding on the west side of Goose Lake

When did that happen? Its been two years since i rode there, but went up last weekend only to find one of the great play areas shut down?

This is the first year. There is supposed to be a separate boulevard for the snowmobiles so that we don't share with the skier's snowcat. Once you get to the first main bench it opens back up to snowmobilers so we can continue on to Granite Lookout. This closed area's north boundary is the ridge line just above Twin Lakes and goes west to the first chute. Here is a link to the latest map. Hope it helps.

There is a comment period that ends in a few days for the snowmobile grooming program and for the Brundage Mountain Ski Area's Cat Skiing program. Maybe take a look at it on the Forest Service web site and share your feelings.

You need to wake up. This has been going on for years. There is a battle every year. Check and sign up with SAWS to get email alerts.
