McCall Grooming - only 6 weeks left

We've had a great year.

Local businesses and your sled sticker support has given us lots of money to groom with.

This year we WILL be grooming well into April. As snow heads up the hill, the last trails to be groomed will be Warren Wagon Road, and High Elevation to Gooselake, Duck Lake, Brundage Res.

Everyone up here is pretty stoked, and as I type this we are getting dumped on with yet more powder.

Dang it.

:p

Just let everyone know your visitor pass prices have gone WAY up from last year. I did not enjoy the 35 dollars for an out of state pass and sorry but will not be back soon because of it. I really liked the grooming as it was first calss but that is stupid expensive, I spend plenty of money when I'm there and do not mind the 20 dollars and yes 35 is not that much more but it is still BS as it still said 20 on the state web site.

ok, sorry bout that.

12 gallons of gas is most of 40 bucks anywhere.

a hotel night is more then 50 bucks most places.

dinner for you and the hillgal and hillchild is gonna be 70 bucks at a decent resturant.

come stay at my house, buy the stickers, and count the savings..

Ya I know you have no control over that but it is a little out of bounds for the state to charge so much for an out of state rider, I did write a letter to the state grooming contact. Gonna miss you in cooke :-)

For what it's worth...
I took a trip to upstate NY to ride trails with some old buddies earlier this year. NY requires you to pay $100 registration OR joing a NY snowmobile club and pay a $50 registration charge plus the membership fee. Then, if you want to ride decent trails for the time you're there (e.g. Old Forge, NY) you need to cough up another $45 for a weekly trail pass. There's absolutely NO off trail riding either.

I hate to see costs go up too Hillboy but I don't think we're going to see the end of it soon.

I'll pay $30 anyday to have the trails like they were this year when we were in McCall. Money well spent in my mind. If that what it takes to keep the trails groomed. I wish are trails were groomed as often as the ones in McCall.

Hillboy is raising the issue that irritates several of us that travel to other states to ride. The weekend in question, 6 of us dropped well over $2k in McCall on hotel, food, gas, parts, etc. Makes having to cough up another $35 or $20 or whatever for a sticker seem a bit rediculous.

It's like going to the snow show in the fall or even the Expo this weekend in West. They are charging me to get in the door to spend more of my money... seems a bit strange.

seems a bit silly to complain about spending $35 when you look at other recreational activities. A ski lift tickets $75, round of golfs $50-100 and going to the movies with your wife and kids costs $80. FUn isn't cheap and neither is running a groomer as long as the money goes directly into the trails I'll pay to play.

Ok Doug I got you 500 gal of Diesel to finish the season. So my old bones should enjoy a smooth ride untill April 1st (OK)!!!

THANK YOU ADAMS COUNTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the plan for the rest of this month is to continue full bore!!!!!

Then in April I'm gonna try to weasle along grooming out of high elevation and francis wallace as long as we can.

Sure would be cool if we have enough snow to groom into May.......
