McCall, Calif Lake to Marshall MT, route?

Last year we followed tracks from the meadow above Calif. Lake part way to Marshall Meadows. The route through the trees along the east side of Calif. creek was tight. I made it but my buddy did not, so I only went to the open areas above the tree line. This looks like some great riding areas. Last weekend we followed track along the west side of the creek (left looking up) but could not find the way up.
The question, is it still possible to travel this route? I know we could try from the top down, but always like to try from the bottom up the first time

Hey Rick

I have made the trip down many times and up once. It is more challenging by a factor of 10 to go up but can be done.

You have to stay on the right side (east) of the creek to get up into the meadows.

PM me when you come over next time and if I am not hurt or broke down or too tired would like to go with you. Do you know the way into Marshall Meadows from the north? Marshall Meadows is fantastic to ride in but there is a side hill that is hard to get around just before getting to the meadows from this side. Know the way around it.

Will PM you on the next trip over. Last year did not go all the way to the meadows from the North. Had a newbie on a 144 Would like to run it once down with someone that knows the route. Could try it on our own, but don't want to spend a night in the woods
Made a run down to the house (bomb shelter) last week, boy is that a project.
