mcb pistons?

mcb pistons any good? 300 bucks for bearings and complete gasket kit witht he pistons seems like a great deal. i dont want to go with spi again, and i want a double ringed set up. still waiting on rk tek to reply to email to see if his pistons work with my head. also lookin for a cylinder for an 800 if anyone has one.

don't quote me on this, but i think big john uses only MCB pistons. as far as i know, he knows his stuff to a science.

MCB

i am running them in my turbo xp and they are working well. Big john has good pricing on them

Had a set on my Rev w/ nitrous--Turbo XP will get a set over the summer. Didn't have enough fuel for the nitrous, detonated the snot out of it. Piston basically ate away down to the top ring w/out breaking or showing sign of excess heat and swelling. No catastrophic failure. I'd say they work great.

its mcb performance.com they got a great price on a kit with whole gasket kit, needle bearings, and double ring pistons. i found a good used 14:1 rk tek head, so im thinking about getting the rk tek pistons. anyone have a 14:1 head? if so hows it perform?

I am running the RK tek 14.1 head and drop in kit. I am using his new FORGED pistons and it is running fantastic.

Riding 6500-10,500ft. 91 premium. 360 main jets. Needle raised one clip. DJ clutching. HPS can.

Running very strong.

He only makes one style head for skidoo. The domes are inserts and you just choose compression based on elevation and whether you want to mix race fuel or not. 14.1 is safe above 6k on pump fuel. 14.8 you will want to mix a bit.

I have almost 600 miles on it so far and very happy.

He makes domes for stock pistons and he makes domes for the pistons in his Drop In kit. 2 different domes. both styles are available in 14 to 1 compression.

ah i see. well i bought a head from a guy and he is giving me domes for his drop in kit, and he said 14.6 to 1 comp domes too. should i need race fuel for that?
