MC Xpress fuel controller for Apex

Has anyone ever tried to change the fuel controller from the MC Xpress from the mega-tune to a PC111 or RB3 controller and if so have you had any success. I am considering putting my PC111 on so I can control my fuel and also my timing, I have had good success on my MPI S/C Apex running low boost ( 6-12#'s) with stock compression but I wonder if the stock injectors will be up to the task when running 12-18 #'s on a decompressed motor. Any thoughts?

You will never be able to "change" the fuel controller, as PCIII/V and RB3 adjust the oem injectors and MCX have their own injectors in IC plenum.
What you can do is disconnect MCX fuel controller and add fuel with PCIII/V or RB3 instead, why you would want to do that i don't know.
Or you can do as i have done, let the MCX fuel controller be and finetune fuelmap and ignition with RB3 (or PCIII).
I believe OEM injectors are good to ~14psi @ sealevel.

That's basically what I was getting at was disconnecting the mcx fuel controller and injectors and going with the PC111. I really don't want to piggy back to many controllers on 1 system just use 1 system for all control.

To bad RB3 have so many bugs, if it worked as promised it would be the best piggyback out there, but it doesent, do a search.
Updated mine last summer, haven't heard if any new update fixed them all, doubt it.

Thats a fact no RB3 for me but the PC111 just plain works.

Too early to say, but High Altitude Boost is working with MCX and getting my MPI, Stage II, SCApex dialed with their "MCX" fuel controller.

I live in CO and park at 10k. No luck with fuel controllers for my elevation. I rode HA Boost's MCX Nytro for a month this season while he was outa town. His sled was turn key the whole month, and never had any bad AFR's or hickups. So nice to not mess with a sled I bought it.

He's 100% the MCX fuel controller will make my Apex work the same. Either way I have a boosted back-up....lol

I agree with robrstopr, unless your having issues with the mcx fuel controller, why change it. they flat out work and no dicking around with.
