MC-XPRESS 180Hp Turbo V/S MPI Supercharger

If that's the case Yamaha should get ready for some Fraud court cases or no USA sales...

The boost levels don't look the greatest on that dyno chart, i realize they're almost even at the end, but still roughly only 5-6 psi. i thought superchargers made instant boost, how come it's so laggy-looking on the chart? just curious, i haven't ever worked with a dyno before.

MPI doesn’t agree with this post. We are withholding response as we discuss directly with Mcx.

When looked @ the chart I'm not surprised that the SC produces less HP than the Turbo, both set to the same boost pressure, everyone knows that it takes HP to run a SC, so I do not know what to discuss, I read this post as many of the other posts on the forum = informative, many may not know the difference between a SC and a Turbo.

IMO if both sleds were taken to Dynotech, then the results would have held some weight. But this post was far from informative and vague at best.

Well, many i talked to disagree with you!
Anyhow, MCX dyno is well known to show low HP (true hp? :) ), so in another dyno MPI SC might show a little more, so if you don't like the dyno chart because it don't show 180HP @ MCX dyno i understand, you can't compare two dyno's with eachother, it's diffrent engines in the same dyno you should compare.
