MC starter rebuild, east side

Anyone know of a automotive shop that will rebuild starters for motorcycles? I got an old CL350 I am trying to get going. The starter spins and all, it just doesn't engage the motor. Sounds like a bad bendix.

I would think that any automotive electrical shop in your area should be able to do what your needing. The starter went bad on my Predator last fall right before I sold it and I had Smith Auto Electric rebuild it here in Yakima... service was fast and work was done well.... cheaper than buying a new replacement anyway.

I was hoping there would be some specialty shop dudes, that have containers or space full of spare parts and such for starters and alternators. I have lived in towns with people like this and they rock. Excellent work, good prices, and you not spending money on new stuff.

I don't trust the O'Reilly guys with anything besides punching numbers in a computer. They don't even have fuel teflon-like tape for threads. WTF? Hello, gas = automotive?

I like living on the east side, but dang, it sucks when hardly anyone seems to do anything themselves around here. Not many good stores.

What is bad is the Bendix's but check this guy out on ebay he may be able to get you the starter for under $100.00 and most places will charge you that or more to fix yours. rareelectrical that is his name on ebay motors, he has an ebay store.
