MBRP w/ Pipe setup

Ok so i have a MBRP and love the sound of it. Im wanting a pipe and y-pipe to go with it. Im looking at either speedwerx or SLP. Does anyone run either of these pipes/y-pipes with the MBRP? Is it even possible? I live in Alaska so im running at pretty low elevation btw

I will be running an SLP and MBRP can on my 07 M8 as soon as the snow flys here in CO and I get off my business trip. I know there are a few other people running the set up and they said it runs pretty good. I still have the SLP can to go with the system though if I cant get it to work right on my sled.

If I were you I would try the speedwerx M8 "925" pipe. You can run it with your D&D y-pipe.

I live in AK and ride Cantwell and Summit all the time. I'm on a 09' CF1000 and was running just an MBRP last year and was having trouble with some low end lugging and rich condition, I determined that the back pressure from the MBRP was the cause, I love my MBRP's, I've been running them for years on everything I've owned, I wasn't just changing. I have figured out through testing on my own that a set of reeds, I preffer Boyesen, and a good Ypipe, I preffer BMP, with the stock pipe and MBRP Can is the best power across the power band. I did run the BMP pipe and can with this set up and it did work ok but I was able to see the constant flow of the rpm's with the stock pipe and MBRP better. Plus the heat shield of the stock pipe help control the building of heat, but that is on the 1000cc, and not the 8's. Good luck...

I had an MBRP can and was having the same dilemma. I decided to go with the full SLP setup and am glad that I did. It sounds great, surprisingly, and works extremely well with stock clutching at low elevation. I sold my MBRP to help recoupe the costs of the pipe kit and wouldnt go back. I would stay safe and run the whole pipe kit as SLP recommends.
