thinking of buying the mbrp can for my 2010 m8 how are they working out . herd that some cans have a bog, and that some lose power noticed that mbrp has the same part # for the m1000 and the m800. would like to here from people runnig this can thanx.

just put one on my 08 xfire 800 today and took it for a spin around the lake. no bog what so ever. great tone love it.
MBRP is pretty loud, and word is it does loose a bit of power compared to some others. They are pretty light tho.

Anybody running the MBRP on the 09 M8? How does it work with this motor? I am asking because I am in Russia right now and was thinking about ordering one soon so it is ready when I get home in February. How much weight will it save off of the 09 muffler?
Yup I got one on my 09 m8, I love it. Sled rips with it. The think I like most about it tho is I got 1000 miles on it and it still looks like the day I bought it. Great quality

love my mbrp can no complaints saved @ least 9 pounds oh ya 2009 m8 sno pro with timber sled intake bikeman y pipe rktek head and clutching and a few more goodies.. love this sled except i have a new thread started about broken steering post mount..

not intrested how the mbrp works on the 08 or 09, just the 2010 m8, it has a diffrent engin than the 08 or 09 m8 thanx.

I installed one on my m8 . It leaked exhaust no mater what I did ,it was very loud , and turned a crapy colour after a few rides. What I didn't realized until I put a slp can on was the poor performance. Idon't know if it was due to a better seal of the exit hole or just the tuning but the slp works way better.

The 07-10 M1000 MBRP cans and the 2010 M8 cans are the same. Only because of how the pipe is angled back on them both.
well I put on the mbrp can on last week fit was very good and solid didnot have to drill any holes for springs like on some cans. no exhaust leaks, no bog, no power loss. In fact I think I may have gained a little. the can seems to be built very well, its maid out of stainles so its going to discolor a little weighed stock can 23 lbs. mbrp can 6.5 lbs took 16.5 lbs of the front of the sled, sounds good but a little on the loud side.

I love my MBRP can on my M7,sounds great, has a good rumble, and definitly saves a lot of weight from my stock can. Havent had a problem yet with it.
Same here. I often get compliments on how my sled "sings". Love it.
Not to highjack the thread but if anyone is interested on an MBRP in an m6 m7 or m8 I Have one for sale in the classifieds
