MBRP can cracking

Just wondering if any one else can is cracking? Mine is cracking on one of the ends where the welds are and also there is a piece missing out of it. Not impressed

I have two friends that had the inlet pipe break right off.The little gussets that held the pipe to the can broke not once but twice. They got new ones both times under warrenty. They are both planning on trying something different next.
I had one on mine and after one of the gussets broke I changed to the speed werxs tunnel dump can.
By the way all the breakages were on M1000's

Mine broke during a trip to Sicamouse before Xmas. the pipe into the muffler cam right off. Wired it up on the hill and then had it welded in town for $40.

My Jaws did the same thing last year. Just called them up and they replaced it with a brand new one for free. Didnt even have to pay the shipping

maybe I should try that with my rktech can....1500 miles, the front rusted a hole through, and the internals fell to pieces..sitting in my garage useless...wasn't very impressed.

Same thing happened to me this year. 2010 M1000 with MBRP can on it from the start. Called them up and had the warranty replacement at my door in 4 days. I had two holes in the bottom of the can as well as the inner workings had come loose, and were rattling around inside.

the inlet pipe did the same thing on my 09 m1000 with about 200 miles on it. what a piece of ****. I welded it up and ran it for another 250 miles then switched to the speedwerx tunnel dump exhaust. best investment ever for my m1k. NO BOGGING in deep powder.

Bad cans

Had a HPS can on a 06M7 with 1200 miles on it, came apart inside and the owner of HPS said to send it back and he would look at it and mabey help me out but would have my can for 2-3 weeks in prime sled season, and he made sure I understood mabey and not sounding confident. So we made an agreement that I would buy a new one first and he would credit me back if he thought he should. Guess what, still waiting for a answer 2 months later. At least you got warrenty on your can and they are not as much as a HPS.Welds came apart inside the can, dont know how him not knowing how to weld is not warrenty but silly me for thinking that for $360.00 he should be a good welder?

I would of not bought a new one, should of talked to some one else. Maybe they would of helped you. I bet you will not here from that guy, he does not stand behind their product if he made you buy a new one first.

I wish that I would have had a choice on buying a new one.I guess I did but we had a lond weekend trip planed for months comeing up two weeks after this all came about. This is on a M7 and the way they all respond differant to the aftermarket cans I didnt have time for trial and error, HPS worked on my sled and I thought he would treat me better than it ended up. And yes you are right, he dosent take very good care of his costumers after he has you money. I wont buy any more products from HPS. Had he even acted like he cared maby he would still have a happy (telling everyone how great his product was) trying to help sell to everyone customer, but he dosent. Oh well his loss.

I was looking at getting an MBRP can, but after this thread I'm not so sure anymore. Nothing seems better though, besides the Speedwerx tunnel dump. In your guys opinions, SHould I get an MBRP can for my 08 M8?

I have the mbrp on my 2010 m8 with 500 miles, it works great. Fit and finish is great built better than any other after market can I have bought. mounts in both holes at the bottem and it dont move. not like some of the other cans with a wire running down to stick in one of the mounting holes with springs trying to hold it in place.
