I was up there as well this last weekend. Were those bush beer cans yours I packed out of the warming hut? If not, I apologize for tagging the following comments to your thread. However in any case, the following still applies.
The local snowmobile club has created an amazing warming hut that deserves everyone's respect (any warming hut for that matter). They provide us with a avenue to get out of the weather and dry out. Please, please, please.... if you pack something in, pack it out. It is an amazingly simple concept. There was a plastic grocery sack full of garbage hanging on the wall full of cans and aluminum foil, beer cans on the table, etc... I was the lucky one who had to consolidate back packs with our group so I could pack a full load of garbage down the hill.
So please, please, please. if you pack something in, pack it out.
Thank you, and thank you Methow Valley Snowmobile Club for providing a top notch warming hut. The cement floor and larger stove are amazing! I cant wait to get back.
