I had to rob the drive clutch for my wife's 97 cougar. I installed a 580 top end with new aftermarket pistons. It runs so rich it loads up immediately. The stator is questionable. Coil, CDI, and carbs were checked out before I got it. It is a mountain cat with 136 X .92" track. I just dont want to put $200 into getting the stator rebuilt to see if that is the problem. It had a problem before I swapped on the 580. I would consider offers on the whole sled. I can email pics.
