max trak 2 reviews?

I've heard from one fellow that it completely changed his bike for the better. He said it hooks up in all conditions better and makes the bike really rail on the hard pack in corners. Completely different than the maxtrak 1 which is on sale now for cheap. That's all I know. I'd like to try one but I'm going to hold off for a while.

While im sure it is much better than the original, i've noticed it is still a little softer than the timber sled track. After watching my buddy lose traction and slide out on a sketchy hard pack slope where my timber sled sidehilled across without issue, i compared the outside lugs on our machines. It was obvious just by feeling them for a second that the TS lugs are much firmer--at least the ouside ones.
This is only an issue we have noticed in very specific conditions.
Lately we have had very springlike conditions and it seems like he spins the track a little bit more than me when we catch an icy spot on a ridge.
Disclaimer: his yeti is a 129 and i'm on a 137 ts.

Yeti release is this week. Stoked to see new tracks. Rumor is they have been testing with camoplast for the last bit. TS contour is definitely stiffer. But they don't offer a 129 option either.

Been searching for that holy grail one ski track myself . Since I haven't found it I decided to make one .

Kind of funny now that there are skis to choose from it's the track , go figure .

Agree, I just ordered a doo T3 3" track to make for my snowtech and getting rid of the yeti maxtrack 1. It was good but is soft for where I ride and nothing beats a 3"!

Are you guys doing it yourself or having them vulcanized or what? Ive bolted em together before without issue, but??

Doing this one myself , you know that saying if you want it done right do it yourself . Made templates so the cuts are pretty darn close . Not done yet

The one before the vulcanized warn off in a short time otherwise the track just expired from mileage . I've never heard of anyone actually having problems with a cut down track unless it's been butchered ?

If it holds up to a 880 big bore sled with conveyor splicing it should be fine behind my 60hp bike. There are trade offs it makes a little noise and stuff but there aren't any other options. Glad my snowtech kit will bolt a 3" right in with no hassle probably the only kit that can

Are you getting 6 tooth 3.0 pitch drivers?
If so from where?

Yes avid makes a 6 tooth 3" pitch driver just for snowbikes with 1.xx" hex shaft. On the snowtech kit I just have to remove a small bit of material from the billet frame, of which there is more than enough, and a small chain notch in the lugs and it will bolt right in

I've rode with a buddy on a Max track two on a non Yeti Kit, 129" It's performed well all season, until the snow got wet and heavy. Then it was a JOKE! Trenching, always stuck, couldnt climb unless it took a shallow angle approach. My TS 120 could go straight up the hill! Very poor performance. No way I would buy this track, unless you are in powder all season long. On icy areas it would light up and spin too, where I didn't even notice it was icy. One part of the day, my friend just sat on the road and waiting, while the rest of us played on a hill. He was SPENT from getting unstuck so much. This is in North Idaho riding areas, where the water content of the snow can be high.

I think ur buddy has some other issues. U should have hopped on his bike and rode for yourself.

I have owned max 1 and 2 and the 2 is night and day difference and I see the difference hands down outperforming TS ST and in many cases TS LT. I have also owned and ridden TS LT and ST and prefer the Yeti 129 Max 2 to the all because of overall performance and versatility.
