Max thread dibocle - Possible solution?

Why don't the guys at Snowest make a SnowChat? A place where people can communicate about snowmobiling interactively and do all the stuff they want and did in the max thread. Seems like the people want it. Couldn't it be a "world first" or something and sucker, I mean get, the advertisers to pay for it?

Just a thought.

I was thinking that the system (I think you were talking about here and the current max thread) is not setup for that type of thing. Make it more chat based as a side extension of the web site. Or replace that giant add over there -->> with a scrolling chat window, I am sure there are other features and such that would be beneficial to a different format than bbs.

Or were you talking about someplace besides snowest? I see advertisements all over this place.

And here I thought it was a way for the site to expand into something new and offer something new. A way to get more people to the website and increase revenue streams. When hearing some of the people's experience about the max threads, late night garage sessions on-line, sounds pretty interesting and cool. Would be nice if people that are kind of isolated had a means of getting real-time help working on their snowmobiles. Just some ideas, thought I would share.

This site has the same format as Sledutz.com if you go over there you will see that there is a chat room integrated into the site. It works pretty well with the smaller number of members over there. The nice thing is that you can create your own "rooms" in the chat so you can limit the number of people talking to you

I personally could care less if a bunch of people want to have a thread devoted to nothing in perticular. Enjoy.
I never could understand why it bothered anyone. If they spent as much time and energy worrying about their riding areas we wouldn't have to worry about any more closures.

exactly, all the max thread stuff stayed in ONE thread, now cause a few b!tched, we are bombarded by different threads about THAT thread!!!!!!!! seems like it was better before, but that's just me maybe!!!!!! and just for the record marv1, all the "bs" in there led to many good things for many of us. quite a few got hooked up with new riding people in their own areas, plus we are getting together from all over the US and CANADA next year for a ride in REVY!! not too mention all the goods and services that have been sold and traded thru that "BS"

How the heck do you justify selling a sled to your own dad? That is just plain stupid, he gave you life and spent thousands on you while you were growing up. Talk about greed in the worst way.

Just my thoughts on that.

It is just because there's too many wannabes out there that are posers and just wannabe like the next guy, or their favorite racer. $10-12k to spend and don't know how to spend it either, and once they do spend it they'll just complain about what they bought later in the winter.
I just buy what I want and know that is reliable for what I need it for, and 3k miles later it still runs strong. It isn't the most expensive out there either like the D8 that everyone wants to impress the next guy with. That's is just what is wrong on the forums, just want to spend more than someone else and then end up complaining about it.

Uh oh, same ol' BS from the DT and BMP hype. No one I know runs BMP pipe mods, never saw their sticker on a racer's sled either.
