Material For Vents?

So here I am ready to go on my first trip of the season and I get the idea in my head that my 05 Summit needs more venting. I was thinking of making a support to go on the inside of the panel, with my hole pattern to match the holes that I will cut in the panel, then I would sandwich some sort of mesh inbetween. My support is going to be made out of 3/16th poly material and I will poprivet it to the panel. What kind of mesh material will work good for this? Will fine screendoor mesh work? How about if I put a douple layer of screendoor mesh? I live in a small town, all we have is a small hardware store so I need to find something that I could probably find here. Thanks.

Anyone make thier own vents, pics?

theres been other threads on this and alot of people say to use pet screen. Pet screen is alittle bit more durable compared to regular screen.
