Well I thought I would post up some picts of my deck I built, I'm pretty excited about my creation.
For Christmas my family asked me what I wanted, I said a sled deck and of course we all got a good laugh out of that. I have been putting my sled just in the back of my pick-up but it left me no room for essentials such as tools, jumper cables, towstraps, chains, ect. I could put it in the back seat but I had to lug in and out everyweekend. So I pondered it some and thought why the heck can't I just build one, just a single because I roam alone. I thought crap I only have the means to go with steel so I knew it would be heavy and I tried to keep the design simple to keep the thing somewhat manageable for a couple of people to slide in and out. I didn't have anything to really pattern it off of as far as measurments so we kinda flew by the seat of our pants on that. My dad helped me with measuring and the angles, I did all the welding grinding and painting. I splurged and finished it off with a super clamp. I only wish it was about 6" longer, but all in all it works great it is super easy to load on and I can keep all my gear and things in the pick-up all winter.
