Seems the environmentally "concerned" are going to be in the dark for 1 hour, March 28th, at 8:30pm local time. That's in the dark more than usual.

So, I plan to turn on all my lights. Might even shine some up towards space, so the satellites will see it.

Wonder how the "not smart" north east power grid might react to that much power being kicked off, at the same time? Be funny if they were in the dark for a week while Edison replaced all the burnt out systems. Carbon footprint would go exponential on that hair brained idea.

Their looking for a picture opportunity. If they can show the world darkened, it's equivalent to a popular world voice vote. No matter how much "energy" is saved, they will detect a major participation.

i'll be at college so my lights will be off.....and i'm not leaving them on all damned day unless I can tap my power before the metering point off of the secondary side. Then id be happy to do it

Shouldn't that be "before the meterig point off of the primary side. Your lights would be a lot brighter that way.

it has to be the secondary....3 phase 480v is available at the pole....they had to transform it I wish I could run 3 phase 480v stuff.

But, the best part is it the same weekend as the Jackson Hole Hill Climbs and the damage done is their eyes - LOL! Hi Wade! Let's go ride again.

NO really good luck, because at our house the outside lights are on a photocell and burn all night long on our dark street. At least the families our safe in our neighborhood.

You want to really screw this thing up??... organize a campaign to to turn everything you own ON AT 9:30PM. With the greenies load coming back onto the grid at this time.... maybe some additional consumption like a/c's, ovens, furnaces, heaters etc. could wreak some havock
